The Downfall of the Seven Demons

The Downfall of the Seven Demons

Jesus battles the assembled forces of evil in the form of demons. Jesus faces the hardest battle yet, as seven demons come together to unite against him. As the seven demons mold their evil spirits together, they announce themselves as the Devil, the dark force that encompasses all evil, rules the legion of tyranny and evil souls and men, and is destined to be overcome by the Christ Lord, Savior of the Righteous, and the force of the light and all that is good, Jesus, the blessed and holy, the Lord our God, and ruler of the universe.

The seven demons have names and each embodies a separate entity of evil. Lucifer, the most powerful demon and the embodiment of pride, plots to overthrow God and take control of the heavens. He calls upon the other demons to join him in his quest for power. Mammon, the demon of greed, joins Lucifer, followed by Asmodeus, the demon of lust, and Leviathan, the demon of envy. The demon of gluttony, Beelzebub, and the demon of wrath, Satan, also pledge their allegiance to the cause. Finally, Belphegor, the demon of sloth, joins the others in their quest for domination.

Jesus, sensing the danger that this union of demons poses, sets out to stop them. He first confronts Lucifer, who underestimates Jesus' power and is defeated in a spectacular battle. Next, Jesus faces Mammon, who tries to bribe him with all the riches of the Earth, but Jesus remains steadfast and defeats him. Asmodeus, the seductive demon of lust, proves to be a formidable opponent, but Jesus remains pure and chaste, and ultimately defeats him.

Leviathan, the demon of envy, presents a different challenge. He tries to use his powers to turn Jesus against the Holy Spirit, but Jesus' faith remains unshaken, and he defeats Leviathan as well. Beelzebub, the demon of gluttony, tries to use his powers of temptation to sway Jesus, but Jesus resists and overcomes the demon. Satan, the embodiment of wrath, is the most dangerous and difficult of all the demons to defeat. He employs all his powers to try to vanquish Jesus, but Jesus remains calm and serene and ultimately triumphs over Satan.

Finally, Jesus confronts Belphegor, the slothful demon. Belphegor does not put up much of a fight, and Jesus is able to defeat him quickly. With all the demons now vanquished, Jesus stands victorious over the forces of evil. Jesus returns to Heaven, where he is celebrated for his heroism and bravery, and the demons are banished to the pits of Hell, never to threaten the peace of Heaven again.
